Amazon MGM Studios, Mattel, and Sony Pictures Releasing International have unveiled the official title treatment for the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action feature film. The reveal includes localized translations in a wide range of languages, plus a special version rendered in Eternian, the fictional language of the franchise’s homeworld.
The film is set to release worldwide June 5, 2026; it plays exclusively in cinemas. In select territories, such as Germany and Italy, the English-language logo will be retained in line with historical usage.
Directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, Masters of the Universe marks a major milestone in Mattel’s expanding content slate. This month, Mattel announced that Wicked director Jon M. Chu will direct a forthcoming Hot Wheels movie. A total of 15 films are in development, including Matchbox, starring John Cena and Danai Gurira.
The title treatment reveal offers fans a first glimpse into the aesthetic of the film and its global reach.
