Star Trek is rolling out astronomical plans for its 60th anniversary next year.
Star Trek is celebrating 60 years of bold exploration in 2026. In preparation, the iconic franchise has released a lineup of special events and more for fans to commemorate the stellar milestone.
To kick off the festivities, Star Trek: Scouts, an animated kids series, and Star Trek: Khan, a scripted podcast, premiered earlier this week in honor of Star Trek Day. Star Trek: Scouts is an original animated YouTube series geared toward preschoolers. The show was developed and produced by Nickelodeon Digital Studio in association with CBS Studios. Each three- to four-minute episode follows three 8-year-old friends as they train to become future Starfleet Explorers. Two episodes are available now on Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel, with the remaining 18 episodes releasing next year.

Fans can look forward to even more content and anniversary drops beginning in January, celebrating “Space for Everybody,” a future of hope, exploration, and boldness. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy launches on Paramount+ in early 2026. The series follows young cadets as they navigate friendships, rivalries, and more while training to become Starfleet officers. In addition, Star Trek will launch original digital comics on Webtoon.
The LEGO Group has collaborated with the brand to release a Star Trek set featuring Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Captain Picard. Star Trek has also partnered with DoSomething, a national organization focused on youth-centered leadership and service, as a commitment to going green and making an environmental impact.
Fans can also anticipate a customized float at the Rose Parade, the annual New Year’s Day parade in Pasadena, California, and Star Trek: The Cruise, scheduled to set sail Feb. 20-27, 2026.
