
Miniso reports significant membership growth in America since launching its rewards program last year. The international retail chain says it added 2 million people to its program, with a 250% membership increase in 2024.
The program was revamped last month to expand perks to consumers. Miniso offers exclusive membership benefits in its reward program, including birthday blind box cards, discounts, and lower thresholds for SVIP membership. Member spending quadrupled compared to 2023. The company also reports that as a result of the program, one-quarter of last year’s performance is attributed to blind box purchases, exceeding other categories.
The brand added 449 new stores globally in the first three quarters of 2024. Mid-year, Miniso celebrated the opening of its 200th U.S. store. The company is in more than 40 states. Miniso attributes its success to its many licensed properties, including One Piece and Harry Potter, and its dynamic business model, including pop-up stores.
