Goliath Games has secured the worldwide manufacturing and distribution rights to Elefun, the preschool game that became a household name in the mid-1990s. Known for sending a flurry of colorful butterflies into the air from the trunk of a friendly elephant, the game challenges players to catch as many as possible using hand-held nets. Its mix of active play, easy-to-learn rules, and visual appeal has made it a staple in family game collections for nearly three decades, reaching children in more than 50 countries.
“Parents who grew up in the ’90s remember the thrill of butterflies filling the room,” says Jochanan Golad, CEO of Goliath. “Now they’ll share that moment with their own kids, thanks to a refreshed Elefun that stays true to its roots.”
The acquisition is part of Goliath’s strategy to expand its preschool portfolio with recognizable brands that encourage movement and social play. While Elefun will retain the core gameplay that has fueled its popularity for generations, the company plans to introduce updated packaging and new design elements aimed at appealing to today’s young players and their parents.
The refreshed version of Elefun is scheduled to roll out globally beginning next fall, supported by Goliath’s established retail network and marketing channels. The company will leverage its global footprint, including innovation centers in five countries, to ensure the relaunch resonates with both nostalgic adults and a new generation of players.
