Exploding Kittens is coming to the kitchen table for game night!
The popular game Exploding Kittens will celebrate its 10th birthday this summer with a board game adaptation of the beloved card game. The company behind the chaos will also bring four friends to family game night: What Were You Thinking?, Giants Moving Tiny Furniture, Exploding Pigeon, and Monster Match, a new addition to the Kitten Games collection.
Exploding Kittens: The Board Game ($24.99) will roar into the toy aisle July 21. The reimagined, highly competitive game encourages players seven and up to race to the end of the track using strategic action cards to sabotage opponents or escape disaster. Participants can trigger a board flip and transform every space on the board to set traps or form alliances. The board game accommodates 2-6 players and takes 20 minutes.
Giants Moving Tiny Furniture ($19.99) is a competitive team game for 3-8 players. Participants act as giants working for rival moving companies. They must move a collection of miniature furniture using only their pinkies. Job cards determine which furniture to move in each round, and players battle each other to complete the job in the least amount of time. Giants Moving Tiny Furniture is exclusive to Target and available July 21.
Exploding Pigeon ($19.99), also in stores July 21, is an unpredictable game of hot potato and charades. Kids seven and up set a time and shake the Pigeon to reveal their challenge: get their team to guess the secret word through acting, speaking, or performing a ridiculous stunt. The teams must guess the correct word before passing the pigeon; if it isn’t passed before the timer runs out, it lets out a loud, chaotic scream, and the player loses. This game also takes 10 minutes to play.
Monster Match ($14.99) is the newest edition to the game line for little ones, Kitten Games, and is available July 21. This five-minute game is for kids four and up and is a picture-matching game with dice. Kids roll the dice to find the monster card that matches the dice’s combination of numbers and body parts. The game can be played in two modes, one for younger kids and one for older kids, allowing preschoolers to enjoy the game as they continue to grow.
Finally, What Were You Thinking ($19.99) is a party game for kids ages 10 and up. Middle schoolers can test how well they know their friends and family, giving one- or two-word clues to help their team guess a secret word. Players have to think fast and creatively in this 15-minute game, available at Walmart and Amazon July 30.
