Crayola has launched Creative Acts of Color, a vibrant, year‑long global campaign designed to inspire creativity in both children and adults. The centerpiece of the initiative is a rolling open call encouraging participants to submit artwork that celebrates imagination and self‑expression.
“Creative Acts of Color broadens our advocacy platform to celebrate color as a catalyst for creativity,” says Victoria Lozano, Crayola’s Chief Marketing Officer. “It reflects Crayola’s ambition to inspire creative endeavors in all forms and celebrate creativity in everyone, extending beyond the arts to illustrate the endless creative behaviors that fuel lifelong growth.”
The campaign draws its spark from nine‑year‑old Caydence from Texas, whose heartfelt artwork serves as the creative touchstone for all submissions. Crayola aims to foster a worldwide community of color‑makers who believe in the power of art to connect, heal, and inspire.
To support this mission, Crayola is offering a suite of easy‑to‑use creative resources — playlists, activity sheets, thinking prompts, and sing‑along video content — to help families and educators incorporate colorful creative moments into daily routines.
Participants can share their pieces online using a dedicated campaign hashtag and portal. Crayola plans to feature standout submissions throughout the year, spotlighting both children’s whimsical visions and adults reconnecting with their inner artist. By inviting submissions from all ages and skill levels, Crayola hopes to redefine color-making not just as play, but as a lifelong catalyst for creativity.
