The new Marvel Legends Series Magic: The Gathering figures go up for pre-order Friday, August 1 at 1PM ET on fan channel retailers and Amazon for $39.99. Hasbro is also putting up their SDCC exclusives at the same time on Pulse for Premium members and an hour later for everyone else.
Anti-Venom looks like a repaint of the recent Agent Venom but with some tentacles. I’m not really a fan of that figure, so I think I’ll skip the repaint.
Mary Jane looks great in the Iron Spider gear and the extra arms makes this one feel closest to justifying the $40 price tag. I’m tempted, but not sure.
Battle Damaged Spider-Man is kind of fun and the mask and design almost nails my platonic ideal Spidey, so this a definite maybe.
The must have for this wave for me is Man-Wolf. This kind of Bronze Age weirdness is right up my alley and the original Legends figure was in need of a re-do. I am a little surprised they went with a hinged jaw since that was part of the downfall of the original, but it works way better here.
Hasbro Pulse will also have their SDCC exclusives up tomorrow at 1PM ET for Pulse Premium Members and 2PM ET for all customers. They will have the G.I. Joe Classified Cold Slither set, Black Series Obi-Wan and Anakin, Marvel Legends Gamerverse 3-Pack, Transformers Jet Fire Void Rivals set, Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Classic figures, and Beyblade 25th Anniversary set.
