
Spin Master Entertainment has named veteran brand strategist Maryellen Zarakas as its new Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products & Franchise Development, tapping her extensive expertise to strengthen its global licensing and franchise efforts. Zarakas reports to Jennifer Dodge, President, Spin Master Entertainment.
“Maryellen is a dynamic, results-driven senior leader with deep expertise in global business development, franchise and brand building, marketing strategy and retail merchandising for iconic companies and brands,” says Dodge. “With a passion for leveraging the convergence of content, community and commerce, she has a proven track record of fostering growth. Zarakas will guide Spin Master in its approach to global consumer product licensing, franchise management, retail development, and partnerships. She will aid the company as it grows it brans and franchises, including Unicorn Academy, Vida the Vet, Toca Boca, and Rubik’s Cube.
Zarakas joins Spin Master after serving as the Senior Vice President of Franchise Development at Warner Bros. Discovery. In that role, she created a global team to manage the strategic growth of the company’s brands and franchises. She activated revenue streams for DC Comics, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, and more, driving strategic franchise planning through integrated marketing campaigns.
